Memrise: Speak a new language App Reviews

I love this app and it makes learn mandarin and Korean actually fun and easy. The only problem I do have with it is my progress has been lost which makes it a bit repetitive. I do wish that the price wasnt as high, I do understand learning apps take a lot to make but unfortunately its not as affordable for me.

The app itself is alright, as is the service. Youre not going to learn a new language with it, but its a decent learning aid. Dont bother subscribing to Pro. I did, and none of the unlocked features are ever suggested by the app. For example, Speed Review never comes up on its own, I have to manually override the learning plan to use it. As well, the service really pushes learning new words, to the point where its easy to confuse things. The balance of learning vs reviewing is fairly skewed in favour of learning, and there doesnt seem to be a way to change it. Overall, as a free app, its alright.

Im doing the Japanese course and I like that it teaches you and then helps you reinforce the lesson and if you get it wrong they give you multiple examples to help you remember the hiragana letters

Had sound issues for months, customer service contacted multiple times and in the end told me to request a refund from Apple of unhappy. Now progress will not save!!! Im back at level one and it wont progress. Huge pain to figure out if and how to get my $ back.

Really fun and actually surprisingly easy to learn on. Very expensive for the premium though. But you have you the option to learn at your own pace. Best for learning other than Duolingo but it is pretty much an exact copy of it

Good for learning new languages

Its a fun tool to use as a learning aid and for practice. Its great to use for that daily practice language learners should be getting in to keep their daily practice in.

Just started with this app. Compared to Duolingo and Busuu, I like Memrise a little more because of its foundation building. It seems to push the language into my long term memory with its format. Time and practice will tell. Also great for its breadth of subjects; languages and beyond.

I used this app to learn the basic Czech vocabulary. Was very useful.

If youre looking for something to do in your down time this app is great. If youre willing, you will retain the info fairly quick.

Cannot search courses by keywords on iOS app. Thats so inconvenient.

This app stimulates your desire to learn new things. The languages are accurate and reliable. Especially, in the language course, the native speakers pronunciation are very helpful to learn the "real" pronunciation. I checked whether the pronunciations are real or not in my language and it was "real".

Im using this to help with my Japanese but to also keep up my French.
